Can I book through phone or walk-in?

Yes, however we strongly recommend that you book in advance to receive a 10% discount. There is no guarantee the rooms are available for walk-in customers, but we do have a board game café for you to hang out and spend time with friends.  If you wish to book by phone, please call us at 905-858-CODE (2633).

What is the $20 deposit for? Does this cover admissions costs?

The $20 is a non refundable deposit to secure your time slot. The deposit will be deducted from your total admissions fee on the reserved day. For special events, full payment is required.

How do I receive the discounts?

The discounts will be applied upon arrival during registration and payment at reception. The following discounts are only applicable for our rooms (not applicable for special events):

 

  • 5% + 1 Free Boardgame Play Admission discount for each individual that Like us and Check in on our social media. Simply show our staff at reception when you come in that you've Liked and Checked-in for the discount.  

  • 10% discount for pre-booked online (with $20 per room deposit)

Can I still book online if I don’t have a PayPal account? What forms of payments are accepted?

Yes, you can still book online without a PayPal account. You can pay for the deposit directly with a credit card online without a PayPal account. For walk-in customers, we accept payments through Visa, Mastercard, Debit or Cash.

Is it possible to cancel or reschedule the reservation?

You may reschedule the reservation 24 hours prior to your time slot. There will be no refund of deposits for cancellations.

Can I change the number of participants after booking online?

Yes, to make a change, you can contact us via email or telephone during operation hours. Otherwise, please refer to our cancellation policy above.

Can we still proceed without the minimum required group size? Will we be joining other group?

We recommend adhering to the number of participants as suggested to optimize the chance for a successful escape. The minimum group size for each booking is 2 people. You will be on the mission with your team as we do not combine groups for our regular rooms.

What is the recommended age for the game?

Recommended minimum age for participants is 16 years of age. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Guardian/Parent’s signature are required on the waiver for participants under 18. Please contact us if you wish for us to send you the form in advance.

What are the time limits for the rooms?

Customers are given 60 minutes to escape from their room, but we strongly recommend that customers arrive 10 minutes before their booked time for registration purposes. De Code reserves the right to adjust the escape time.

Where can we store our personal belongings during the game?

Lockers will be provided free of charge for our customers.

Can we bring electronic devices into the room?

No cameras, photos or videos are allowed in our rooms, therefore we ask all customers to store their electronics in the lockers provided.

Are infants and toddlers allowed in the room?

We do not allow infants and toddlers in the room. They are allowed in the café if accompanied by an adult.

Can we ask for hints if we get stuck on a puzzle?

You can ask for hints any time during the escape adventure, and considered a successful escape if you use 1 hint or less.

What should I do if I do not feel well during the game?

There is a call button in each room to alert staff members who will arrive promptly upon notification. Each room is also provided with an emergency key, but the mission is considered failed if you decided to use the key for exit.

Is there a possibility of extending our time in the room?

We do offer a replay discount to replay the room with the discounted price if the room is available on the day of. Please contact our staff member for this option.
